The News In Poetry Day 89: Edward Snowden

Not the best poem in the world: I’m totally floored by this man’s bravery and integrity.

He stood up to his country for his country.
He gave up listening so that he could speak
He ran and hid, then turned and showed himself.
In speaking out for truth, he faces lies.
In doing what was right, he faces wrongs.
He is a hero: don’t forget his name.
