We hide inside your aeroplanes
And do all kinds of things
Like loosening the nuts and bolts
And rusting up the wings
And you should see your faces
When your silly bombs get stuck!
You want an easy time of it?
Well then, you’re out of luck.
Don’t take this the wrong way, old chaps,
We don’t care if you lose
This bally war you’re fighting in
But we don’t pick and choose:
We’re equal opportunity,
And vex old Jerry, too!
We’re not exactly helpful,
But we have no beef with you.
Perhaps you think we’re pacifists,
And trying to stop the war.
We do not really understand
What you are fighting for,
But this is not political:
When all is said and done,
We just like breaking aeroplanes
Because we think it’s fun.
