The News In Poetry Day 22: No Need To Worry

This news feature on the BBC website seems a little late. Late and …biased?

I’ve just seen it on the news
That the NHS is changing
To be honest with you, nothing sounds too bad.

I’m so happy our GPs
Can be trusted with deciding
How our public money’s spent: who could be sad?

And there is no need to worry
About rampant profiteering:
Private companies have ALWAYS helped us out.

It’s transparent and it’s clear
There’s no secrecy or hiding
When the BBC report it. there’s no doubt!

And I’m sure that our MPs
Will be coming round and asking
So the likes of you and me can have our say.

For the changes that are planned
Won’t come in to force til April
2013… Just a second, that’s TODAY!
